 Hi Pam Hi Melissa

This is becoming an annual tradition. I see WE likes Barokas employees; I don’t blame you – I do as well. But an agreement is an agreement  - right?

 Please call off your dogs.

 Thanks.

Howie

Hi

My name is Aimee Brackenbury, I’m a Sr. Recruiter with Waggener Edstrom Worldwide in Bellevue. I apologize for contacting you out of the blue, but I came across your profile (which looks great!) today and am hoping we can connect. Our Consumer and Tech practice groups are continuing to expand and I'd love to learn more about your PR and social media experience. Could we set up some time to talk next week?

Thanks in advance, I look forward to hearing from you!

Best,

Hi Pam Hi Melissa

Hope the note finds you well.

I know you both believe in keeping commitments so I’m going to assume the latest round of recruiting from WagEd is a simple misunderstanding. Still – we have an agreement and I’ve been good. Not only have I not recruited from your firm, I’ve not responded to the resumes from WagEd employees we’ve received. We have a very compelling environment at BPR; one I suspect some of your team members would like. But I’m a man of my word so I’ll not contact your team.

If you’re interested in my people – perhaps you’re interested in the agency?

We’re the best firm in town and would match our work and our staff head-to-head with anyone.  I’m not selling but let me know if you’re in the market.

Wish you all the best.

Cheers.

Howie

Subject: Consumer Contacts

Hi

I met you and your colleagues at The Flashies in December (new girl, just moved here from LA seven months ago), and wanted to reach out to see if you know anyone who might be a good fit for a couple opportunities we have on our team.

I help lead the consumer business on the Microsoft Corporate team here at WE, which includes the retail stores, consumer strategy, including a Sneak Preview event, CES, an Open House annual event, as well as a variety of other things on any given day.

We’re looking for both an AE and an AM/AD on our team.

If you know of anyone or are interested in chatting to find out more, will you let me know?

Since I just moved here, I don’t know many consumer PR practitioners in the Pacific Northwest, and it’s kinda hard to get Californians to make the jump!

Hope 2011 is treating you well.

Cheers,

JMA

Mr. Barokas,

Pam Edstrom shared with me your concern about any Waggener Edstrom outreach into BPR.  It is true that we are aggressively recruiting at this time, and I suspect that one of our 3rd party research vendors may have reached into BPR.  While our vendors have not listed BPR as an agency they are contacting, I will nevertheless ensure that any of our staffing partners and external vendors are aware that we have a “handshake” agreement with your agency in terms of not recruiting from each other.

If you get any sense in the future that we are in violation of this agreement, please let me know directly and I will do similarly.  Thank you for making us aware of your concerns.
