No, it’s not the foundation of a math equation. Any company that has hired and worked with a PR agency probably understands this sentiment. Let’s face it. As far as reputations are concerned, PR people are typically positioned somewhere between lawyers and lobbyists (though we are much more affordable). So when people ask me, what do you mean by “PR Minus BS” – I tell them that it’s more than a funny slogan, it’s a promise. A promise that we won’t blow smoke up your skirt and/or pants. That if we don’t agree, we won’t nod along and pretend that we don’t have an opinion. We’re not always right but we’re also not afraid to disagree. And isn’t that what you would expect when you hire an agency?
